Note, I've also submitted #61652 for the WinGet install In addition I'm looking at the Boxstarter installation instructions. This is proving to be tricky, as it's a legacy dependency and has multi-layered issues. |

Current situation
BUILDING > Windows > Manual install contains instructions to install Visual Studio 2022.
Visual Studio 2026 is now the latest version and the default version shown on https://visualstudio.microsoft.com
Branches
mainandv25.xare compatible with building under either Visual Studio 2022 or 2026.The workload "C++ build tools" listed for Build Tools does not exist under this name. "Desktop development with C++" is the right workload to be selected with all editions for Visual Studio 2022 or 2026.
